The best alternative to buying a new emergency lighting fixture is to install our plastic double remote heads. These powerful lamp heads are typically installed away from the emergency fixture, yet power off the same battery backup.
The best part about these cost-saving lights is they will not require individual maintenance. Just run a normal battery and lamp diagnostic on the emergency light, and you will immediately see the status of the remote lamp.
Plastic remote heads are commonly installed in stairwells, garages, warehouses and office buildings. They are ideal along a passageway to amplify the lighted escape path.
The P2-RH easily mounts to a standard 4" octagonal or single junction box. A 5" round universal plate is included with the unit, and has 4 mounting knockout holes. This plate can accommodate a third lamp head later on if there is still not enough light.
The housing and dual lamps are made of ABS thermoplastic which are flame retardant and impact resistant. A rotary locking collar which secures the reflector and lamp assembly in place, even under moderate abuse.
The P2-RH's cone shaped plastic lamps are fully-adjustable for maximum directionality. The standard finish is off-white, though black models are available as well.
Each PAR style lamp heads contain a specular parabolic reflector at the rear of the bulb, maximizing the throw of the light. A prismatic polycarbonate lens can easily snaps in and out for easy access to the bulb and provides even beam distribution.
