The wet location emergency light with time delay is a heavy duty outdoor luminary made for exteriors lit by High Intensity Discharge (HID) lights. Such lights include high-powered HPS, metal halide and certain types of fluorescent fixtures.
OSHA has determined a safe minimum amount of lighting necessary for occupants to find their way in the dark. Since HID fixtures can often take up to 15 minutes to reach their peak illumination levels after even a short interruption in AC power, time delay lights will remain on after power is restored.
The WL-TDEL is a great choice for outdoor parking structures, stadiums and indoor swimming pools that commonly use HID in their general lighting scheme. The wet location emergency light has a sealed lead acid battery backup that is continuously charged during normal conditions.
Our WL-TDEL has a hardened fiberglass cabinet with a clear epoxy finish that makes its cabinet completely water resistant. Rubber O-ring gaskets line the access panel and other openings so that no water can affect the electronics within.
Illumination is provided by twin top-mounted PAR36 sealed beam halogen lights.
The time-delay wet location emergency light contains all of it's electronic components in the watertight cabinet including the circuits, SLA battery, transformers and time-delay hardware.
