Overview
Exit signs are required fixtures both inside and outside of a building to clearly mark egress points in total darkness, typically during a power failure. Indoors, exit signs are made of lightweight plastic, costing less than $20 per unit.
However, in outdoor applications the battery and circuitry in plastic signs will quickly corrode and malfunction due to rain, snow and other inclement weather. Wet location exit signs are built specifically for these tough environments.

Application
Wet location exit signs are ideal for building exteriors, hose-down areas and industrial zones. Their water tight construction offers a degree of impact-resistance, making these fixtures tougher than interior thermoplastic exit signs.
A universal keyhole pattern on the back of the housing allows the exit sign to attach to most any AC conduit. Wall, ceiling or end mounting brackets are available.
External Specifications
The WLX series has a corrosion-proof fiberglass housing that holds the circuitry, battery and LED strip. A clear polycarbonate lens plate covers the exit sign face and is secured by four polycarbonate pressure screws.
Internal Specifications
To prevent water from leaking into the housing, a gasket has been hot-bonded to the lens, forming a watertight seal. This gasket has a 'memory', meaning it always reasserts it's original factory design so they won't leak over time.
Black, white and red conduit cables are included for AC hookup. Use the black and white wires for 120v AC; red and white wires for 277v AC connections.

Maintenance Profile
The maintenance required for this unit is monthly and yearly testing of the battery backup system per OSHA regulations. The nickel cadmium battery
is replaceable.

Options
NEMA 4X Rating - essentially the same unit, only these exit signs are individually tested at the NEMA laboratories for all weather resistance.
Exit Lettering Colors - choose between red or green LED letters.
