A black powder-coated die-cast canopy can attach to the top or side of the sign's upper housing. They can be employed in a ceiling, wall or end-mounted fashion
External Specifications
The upper housing is made of die-cast aluminum with a standard brushed finish. However you can also order them with a white or custom powder coat finish. A red push-to-test switch and LED charging indicator on the side of the housing allows easy periodic testing for emergency readiness.
The high-impact, clear acrylic sign hangs from the bottom of the housing and is lit by the internal green LED strip. However, only the beveled 'exit' stencil and the outer edge of the panel will glow, while the body of the panel remains see-through
Double-sided signs will have a mirrored insert dividing either side. This creates the optical illusion you are viewing a single sided sign when observed from either position.
Internal Specifications
Inside the aluminum housing lies the nickel cadmium backup battery, which is the unit's emergency power source. It is wired to a solid state switching transistor that prevents damage to the battery contact points and automatically switches to the reserve battery when a power failure occurs.
A green LED strip illuminates the acrylic sign panel and last up to 10,000 hours.
