Application

Another futuristic addition to this unit is the photocell test switch, which automatically checks the LED lamps and transfer circuits. Since exit signs are usually mounted in high places, a special laser pointer (sold as accessory) allows you to perform this diagnostic without breaking out the step ladder. This makes periodic testing of multiple units as easy as walking down a hall.
External Specifications
The ARCH-EDGE-LIT-EXIT-SIGN's housing is constructed with 20-gauge cold rolled steel, powder coated with a standard white finish of prevent corrosion. The steel housing has conduit knockouts on the top, end and sides for easy wiring.
The sign face is made of see-through acrylic, with NFPA 101 approved 'exit' lettering beveled into the surface. When lit, only the letters and outer trim of the sign panel will glow while the body of the panels remain see-through. Double sided units have a mirrored sheet between either side of the panel, which gives the illusion of a single-faced sign when observed from either side
Internal Specifications
All of the electronic components are tightly packed into the thin steel housing including the NiCad battery backup, brownout circuit and solid state transfer/charging activator. The LED lamp causes the acrylic panel hanging below to glow and will last up to 10,000 hours of continuous use.
