Our maintenance-free 12 volt 40 amp lead acid emergency light batteries use sealed lead acid (SLA) technology and can be installed into many of the emergency lighting, exit signs and combo units we carry.
Our SLA emergency light batteries supply a heavier electrical load than nickel cadmium cells, making them perfect for keeping your halogen lamps burning bright for a long time for well over the required 90-minute runtime.

The ELB-SLA-1240 is the perfect replacement battery for emergency lighting or exit sign combo fixtures which take a 12v 40Ah charge. They fit snugly inside the housing of the emergency fixtures and are wired to the lights and circuit board via F1 terminals at the top of the battery.
A flame-resistant black thermoplastic housing locks in the lead acid gel and are almost impossible to rupture, even in extreme conditions. The ELB-SLA-1240 looks like a car battery and works on the same principles, however, they are much more compact.
Lead acid gel is safely contained in the emergency light battery's thermoplastic housing. They have almost no possibility of leaking unless physically damaged.
