Overview
The direct view LED exit sign offers the longest visibility of any exit sign we carry! It uses larger LED bulbs that are visible in the 'exit' lettering, rather than hiding a smaller LED strip within the housing like most signs.
Unlike other LED units that only offer a 75-ft viewing distance, direct view LED exit signs can be seen up to 300 feet away! And because the LEDs are not hidden they are highly visible in smoke filled environments.

Application
The EX-DV can be wall, ceiling or edge mounted to most surfaces. It's high degree of impact and vandal resistance makes this steel fixture great for high-traffic public areas. They are commonly employed in subway stations since only a few signs are needed at either end of a long platform.
External Specifications
The direct view led exit sign has a 20-gauge steel housing available in white or black powder coating finishes. A lexan polycarbonate face shield protects the sign's legend and LED array. Stainless steel screws fasten the housing and lens together.
Internal Specifications
Inside the EX-DV's housing are the LED strips which form the word 'exit', the nickel cadmium battery backup, the transformer circuitry and 3-wire inputs.
