For the most minimal exit solution available, there is no better luminary than our popular green recessed edge lit exit sign. Like other models in our edge-lit series, these models have a very thin see-through acrylic exit panel perfect for upscale environments.
However the EXIT-EDGE-REC-G-BB goes even further by allowing the aluminum housing (which stores all the electronic components) to be recessed into a drywall ceiling or wall surface. The result is a sleek and modern exit design that does not interrupt the aesthetics of your building.
Green is also an internationally recognized exit sign color because of it's association with traffic light colors. It is widely used throughout Canada, the European Union and Asia.

Application

External Specifications
The recessed ceiling mount is brushed die-cast aluminum. Since most of the housing is above the plenum line of a ceiling or inside a wall, there is really no need to paint the housing.
The 'exit' lettering is beveled into a high-impact acrylic sign that is lit by a green LED strip inside the recessed housing. Only the exit sign lettering and outer edge of the panel glows, while the rest of the panel is either completely transparent (single-sided) or has an inserted mirror sheet that appears to be see-through (double-sided) when observed from either side.
Internal Specifications
Inside the housing is the green LED strip which will last up to 10,000 hours and consume less than 5 watts of electricity at all times. The nickel cadmium (NiCd) battery backup provides a minimum of 90 minutes of emergency lighting during a power outage.
