Overview

New York City emergency lighting fixtures are specifically made to meet the strict demands of the Big Apple and can be employed in any building in the five burroughs. They are certified by the city's building and fire authorities which require an unbroken path of light to all building egress points. This requires a higher voltage and redundancies to be in place that would not be required in other cities.

Like all emergency lights, the NYEL will illuminate for at least 90 minutes after building power goes out. During normal operations, the lamps will be off as the battery is continuously charged by the building's AC electricity.

  • Approved for use throughout New York City
  • 12 volt 36 watt standard battery capacity
  • 20-gauge steel housing, standard white finish
