Buying an electrical exit sign will typically cost you less than $20. Good deal, right? Now add the cost of hiring a professional to wire a new conduit, monthly energy costs and required monthly and yearly maintenance. Then multiply those costs by however many exit fixtures you need and that cheap LED exit sign might not seem so cheap after all.
However, if you put a little more money down when purchasing our glow in the dark, or photoluminescent, exit signs you will never have to shell out another cent for the next 25 years! Photoluminescent fixtures are perfect for locations where AC power is not available and there is sufficient lighting that stays on regularly.

Application
The PX series photoluminescent exit sign is applicable to any commercial interior when placed on a surface that receives a minimum 5 foot-candles (54 lux) of illumination. These areas must have consistent light at all times during building occupancy and the light should fall evenly over the sign face.
Glow in the dark exit sign frames can be hung from a ceiling, flag, wall or low location window.
External Specifications
These signs are made from photoluminescent self-extinguishing PVC. The sign can be placed in the attached frame or applied directly to a wall surface. Exit lettering has a height of 6.5" with a 7/8" stroke that is visible from 75 feet away.
Sign will generally take 60 minutes to reach a full charge when exposed to 5 foot-candles, though more light will charge the sign even faster.
Code Compliance
These non-electrical exit signs meet all the requirements of LED exit signs and are UL924 Listed for the U.S., CS860 for Canada. If properly charged they will last well over the minimum 90 minutes of evacuation time in total darkness.

Maintenance Profile
Signs should be cleaned when needed with a non-alcoholic wiping cloth to ensure visibility.

Frame Colors - frames are available in a variety of colors including anodized aluminum, anodized gold and powered-coated white.
Face Styles - select single or double sided signs. For single-sides, you may purchase a back plate for a small additional charge.
Lettering - select red or green 'exit' letters.
