If you need extra light along your interior escape route, our thermoplastic single remote head is often the most cost-effective alternative to buying another emergency lighting source. These lamp heads can be placed away from your emergency luminary, yet power off the same battery.
One of the many advantages to these budget-busting fixtures is you will only need to perform maintenance on the attached emergency light. The overall energy and maintenance savings over time really highlight why these plastic single remote heads are so popular.
Our thermoplastic remote heads are commonly installed in stairwells, garages, warehouses and office buildings. They are great along a hallway to supplement the lighted escape path, and can also be used in residential settings.
They easily mount to a standard 4" octagonal or single junction box. A 5" round universal plate comes packaged with the unit, and has 4 mounting knockouts. The plate can accommodate a second and third lamp head, if desired.
The base and lamp are made of ABS thermoplastic which has an extremely high tolerance to heat. The housing has a rotary locking collar design that secures the reflector and lamp assembly in place, even under physical duress.
Lamp assembly if fully hand-adjustable to illuminate in any direction. Standard finish is off-white, though black models can be ordered as well.
The conical PAR style lamp head contains a specular parabolic reflector behind the bulb for maximizing the lamp's shine. A prismatic polycarbonate lens easily snaps in and out to change the bulb and provides even beam distribution.
