Application
The REC-EL is a great emergency light for stylish commercial interiors that need a lot of light with minimal impact to interior design. The housing will be completely recessed in your t-bar drop-down ceiling or hollow drywall, so that only the halogen lamps themselves are visible.

External Specifications
These heavy-duty emergency lights have a robust 20-gauge steel housing that is powder coated with a standard white finish. This makes the unit resistant to both moisture and vandalism. The thermoplastic 7.2-watt heads can be adjusted to point in any direction you need light most.
Internal Specification
Within the recessed steel housing of the REC-EL are the circuit board, transformer and battery backup unit. A 6-volt, 18-watt capacity sealed lead acid battery provides the emergency lights with power for at least 90 minutes during a power failure.

Self-Test - self diagnostic eliminates the need for manual monthly/yearly maintenance. An alarm will tell you if any component loses functionality.
Time-Delay - ideal for companies using fluorescent and HID lights in their general lighting. This option will keep the emergency light on for an additional 15 minutes after power is restored, allowing HID lights to reach their full intensity.
Nickel Cadmium Battery - NiCad battery backups weigh less and are safer than sealed lead acid and cadmium cells. They last 5-7 years and are easier to replace.
Custom Color - choose from a variety on custom finishes. Please note that selecting anything other than standard white finish will take longer to ship.
