Overview
T5-EL series fluorescent emergency lights are an inexpensive solution for many businesses wishing to combine their general lighting with emergency lights. Doing this will save you time and money in the long run as maintenance and energy prices will be significantly lower.
T5 fluorescent lighting fixtures are easy to install and maintain. During non-emergencies, they work just like normal fluorescent lights found in offices and warehouses. When the building's AC power goes down in a blackout or emergency situation, the unit will switch to battery power and provide uninterrupted light for the next 90 + minutes.

Application
T5 emergency lighting fixtures can be assembled in three easy, snap-together pieces. They may be ceiling or wall-mounted in the following areas:

External
T8-ELs are built with 100% UV stabilized polycarbonate materials that are flame, corrosion and impact resistant. To prevent the intrusion of humidity or moisture into the unit's electronics, its removable polycarbonate lens is sealed with a liquid silicone gasket.
T8 fluorescent emergency lights are available in 2ft and 4ft versions and weigh only 6.5 lbs, making for a low shipping cost. Recessed stainless steel mounting brackets have memory retention, so the lights will not be permanently cock-eyed if they are accidentally hit.

Lamp Specifications
One or two T5 fluorescent tubes give out consistent bright light for over 10-12,000 hours.
A CLE diffuser on the polycarbonate lens UV-corrects the T5 bulbs while a parabolic high-emission reflector distributes the light in a broad, even pattern.
Battery
T5 fluorescent emergency lights utilize a nickel cadmium (NiCad) battery backup that lasts between 5-7 years and can operate in temperatures up to 122° F.

When selecting the pendant or chain options, please specify the exact mounting height you wish to mount your T5 emergency light.
Pendant Kit - For installing fixtures from a high ceiling. Standard 1/2 inch conduit piping is included with a canopy attachment.
Chain Hang Kit - This chain kit is perfect for warehouse and other industrial applications, allowing you to hang the light rather than hard-mount it.
Tamper Proof - Provides stronger vandal resistant material and fasteners that are incredibly difficult to take apart without special tools. Popular for prisons, schools, and hospitals.
