These futuristic exit signs store all of their electronics including the LED strip inside a thin aluminum housing. No matter what angle your ceiling or wall is, the UNIV-EDGE-LIT-EXIT-SIGN has full swivel flexibility so that the acrylic sign always hangs vertically, straight up and down.
These are truly universal exit signs because they come packaged with a mount that can be employed in a wall or ceiling configuration. A back box is also included to allow recess installation into a drywall for an even more low-profile look.

Application
The universal edge lit exit sign is the best fixture for upscale offices, hotels, graphic design studios and financial institutions. The LED strip within the housing lights the clear acrylic sign's edge and 'exit' lettering.
Single faced signs are transparent and typically angled at a 90° angle above an egress door. Double faced units art typically ceiling-mounted and have a mirrored layer within the acrylic sign that creates the illusion of transparency when observed from either side.
External Specifications
The 13" long die-cast aluminum housing at the top of the sign can be ordered with either a brushed-aluminum or powder coated finish. A push-to-test switch on the housing allows for quick battery testing at monthly and yearly intervals.
The 'exit' sign panels are made of optically true transparent acrylic. the Exit letters are beveled into the acrylic for maximum illumination. Double faced units feature a mirrored insert.
Internal Specifications
Within the aluminum housing is the nickel cadmium battery (if selected) which powers the sign for a minimum of 90 minutes following a power failure. A solid state switching transistor prevents damage to the battery and automatically switches to the reserve battery when a loss in AC power is detected.
